Cell started in the winter of 2006, born from a conversation between Allan and Nathan on a snow covered balcony in Andorra.
Allan described his desire for a clothing label, the logo design was scratched into the frost on the window and the name formed in Nathan's head, Cell.
With Allan living in London and Nathan living in Swansea cell clothing started extremely slowly, by the start of 2007 Nathan realised that he was no longer in love with the idea of trying to finish a degree in construction management and decided to leave the comfort of Wales for London.
Nathan and Allan becoming neighbours proved to be a huge step in the right direction for Cell clothing. Summer 2007 was spent asking Nick for designs and learning as much as possible about t-shirt printing and all the hidden mistakes that can be made.
2008 started with the first ever sample prints, month’s later cell managed to land its first European contract.
In August 08 Nick introduced Rich and his better half Abi to the team and by September Rich showed cell what he could do with a camera and Abi showed what she could do with an iMac.
cellclothing.co.uk went live days before Christmas and it looked like all the fun had been taken out of 2008, but there was one surprise left. On a very drunken New Years Eve bash Nathan bumped into an old school friend.
Chris Ede has since been a huge part of cell clothing providing the team with top quality designs and artwork.
As a team we look forward to the challenges of the new decade and hope to pioneer new trends and styles within the t-shirt world.
