Theo has a few words to say

Interview with Project Doc media man Theo Acworth:

Cell Clothing: Theo, firstly thank you so much for working along side cell clothing over the past few months, we are big fans of your work and it goes without saying that we look forward to working with both yourself and project doc a lot more in the future.

Now the nice parts are out the way, time for a few questions!

How long have you been involved with photography and film?

Theo: I've been playing with cameras for about 4 years now, and only recently got to the stage where I sort of know what I'm doing. I've never been that good at drawing, not even doodling, so I guess photography was the next best thing!

Cell Clothing: Tell us why you involve yourself in so much extreme sports coverage, do you prefer this style of work over conventional photography?

Theo: I love shooting snowboarding, mountainboarding, and other 'extreme' stuff like that where you often only get one chance at a shot, it kinda makes you work for it more knowing you have to get it right. In terms of more conventional photography I like shooting urban stuff, but I find cities a bit hectic, I'll pop in for a visit but won't stick about too long, I'd rather be wandering in the woods somewhere enjoying the sound of silence to be honest.

Cell Clothing: Do you feel that you are now at a stage where you are not learning anymore new tricks?

Theo: No, I'm always coming across things that are new to me and learning to adapt to whatever is in front of you is pretty rewarding when you get it right.

Cell Clothing: So now the big question, what do you prefer to get out and do. Photography or filming?

Theo: Over the last few years photography has certainly taken centre stage over filming, but I'm at the point now where I enjoy both so much that I sometimes can't decide which to do, especially at mountainboard events which is frustrating to say the least. I pretty much need a twin so both can get done just how I like them!

Cell Clothing: Who inspires you?

Theo: I've never drawn inspiration from a particular source, If I see something I like then I'll try and remember it and incorporate it into what I do later on. So yeah I push the shutter button/press record and occasionally create something nice. I'm certainly not the best at what I do, but I enjoy the hell out of it, and people saying things about my work is rad, especially if they're nice things.

Cell Clothing: Well I’m sure that there is a lot of nice things said about your work all the time, like I said its been a pleasure to work with you, keep up all the hard work.
